Boy it’s a great time if you’re into isekai shows. I mean I ain’t, but I’m sure plenty of folks are.

It’s even more of a dumpster fire than you explained because sometimes Zeus was known as Hades. As in they were the same person. Mythology is pretty screwy.  Also Zag was Dionysus in some texts. Meg is also sometimes a sister of Zag so ya incest too!

Really when your story is about the Greece of antiquity and/or the myths therefrom if everybody doesn’t land in the mid-range of the Kinsey scale, something has gone wrong.

Netflix isn’t producing the series, they’re just distributing it. That’s why it’s not a Netflix “Original,” they’ve only bought the streaming rights. The release schedule doesn’t really have anything to do with how much anybody’s getting paid or whether they’re under crunch.

Unpopular opinion: if Netflix pays its translators and voice actors decently and the anime wasn’t crunched in any way, I’m all for letting Netflix continue to stream the series. And for what it’s worth, the anime will still find a general audience on a mainstream platform even without a huge marketing push.

Endings are hard. Probably the hardest thing to write and get an end result that is satisfying. It’s rare when a story has an ending that really nails it. I don’t blame the guy for being nervous about it one bit. Read more
