As much fun as I have with DMZ it just makes me wish The Division’s Survival Mode had gained more traction. I have a lot of issues with The Division itself but Survival was goddamn great. Being tacked on as paid DLC probably didn't do it any favors. I would absolutely play a standalone version of it.
I play DMZ solo. Not the best idea for success. One time, I decided to hop the train because I thought that would be the easiest way to do the “visit 6 POIs” faction mission. I got on the train and was cruising along picking up POIs when we started passing AI enemies who were clipping me even though I was wedged… Read more
AFAICT anything you find and exfil with gets automatically unlocked. So if you find a heartbeat sensor in the field and exfil with it, you should be able to equip it in your loadout from now on even if you’re not high enough level yet.
DMZ is such a weird choice for a name.
I would love a straight-up solos version of this. Some of the missions are great in a group, but some are a real pain to do with others who aren’t committed to finishing it. The one where I had to extract 6 killstreaks in one deployment, I just channeled my inner loot gremlin and avoided anything and everything… Read more
I really, REALLY want a easy version of this game mode where I don’t have to strategically plan things, can play on my own and just fuck around doing missions. I don’t care about blueprints. I really just want to fuck around on the map in the hour I have between getting home from work and going to the pub.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with friends and strangers alike in this mode, more over with global chat.
BTW, you can recruit other players in this mode to join your team, up to 6 players! it becomes so chaotically fun at that point!
For some reason my main save is bugged so my pants are invisible, they’re there and equipped but my v decided she’d much rather show the world her vagina than wear the wonderful skirt I found.
Can we just acknowledge that making Meredith a one mission fling in the prologue was the gravest sin this game made though. Read more
But can I hide my weed in it?
Going from “normal” synths (both hardware and software) to modular was a huge eye-opener. It’s like a different universe, and I felt a bit like a beginner all over again for a while. But I found it really inspiring and still do. Read more

A few of the favorites I’ve been enjoying on my deck that didn’t make this list:
Cuphead
Star-Wars Squadrons
Hades
All perform well and are a delight to play on the Deck
I’ve been loving Stray on the steam deck and it runs perfectly when set the refresh and frame lock at 40hz/fps with the default settings (same as is recommended for many newer or more demanding games - with the refresh rate locked to the same as the frame rate it really helps make it feel smooth despite the lower… Read more
I saw a tweet that said the new movie should stop in the middle and make everyone in the theater schedule a time to finish it.
An entire generation who have never heard of Dungeons and Dragons? In 2022? No. I would greet them with the same disbelief I give the 40 year old Youtube reactors who claim they’ve never listened to Michael Jackson before. Between Lord of the Rings, A Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things, D&D has always been a part… Read more
I was actually pretty happy with the trailer, the effects looked good, they are clearly doing a GoTG but D&D which isn’t to say it’s a bad thing (a lot of films that boil down to “X but in Y” actually turn out pretty good) the only thing I’m worried about is that the characters didn’t seem super interesting in the… Read more
